Artificial intelligence has been in the spotlight at Cornell for most of the year, from the announcement of Cornell’s artificial intelligence initiatives and the release of Microsoft Copilot Enterprise to faculty, staff, and select students to the focus on artificial intelligence at May’s Emerging Tech Dialogues event.
The AI conversation will be continued at the October 15 event, where Ayham Boucher, AI assistant program director for Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) at the Ithaca campus and Information Technologies & Services (ITS) at Weill Cornell Medicine, will present on “Navigating Change: Catalyzing Innovation through AI at Cornell” in the afternoon breakout sessions.
Boucher says that the key to navigating change in this rapidly evolving field is a combination of proactive experimentation and collaborative engagement.
"I believe in demystifying complex technologies by breaking them down into accessible concepts for all stakeholders. By fostering open communication and building hands-on experiments, we can better understand the implications of AI and adapt more effectively."
Boucher has been collaborating with data and infrastructure teams on both campuses to re-imagine interactions between humans and machines. Boucher shared, “We're exploring the possibility of replacing traditional software with AI solutions that utilize retrievals and tools, potentially transforming how we manage enterprise resources.”
