The Computer Hardware Repair team at CIT is happy to announce Apple Repair has come to campus. In partnership with The Cornell Store Technology Connection, Apple Computer warranty and non-warranty repair options are now available to any student, staff, or faculty member. This service extends to both Cornell-owned and personal Apple desktops and laptops (*some exclusions apply).

You can find out if your computer is covered under warranty with these instructions

Cornell-Owned Apple Computers

To request Apple-authorized service for Cornell-owned computers, follow the instructions on our Apple Hardware Repair page. Once submitted, a technician will arrange pick-up or a drop-off of your computer for assessment. KFS Account numbers will be needed for any costs Apple requires. Payment will be journaled for these costs.

Personally-Owned Apple Computers

For all personal Apple computer repairs, we have partnered with The Cornell Store Technology Connection (Ithaca campus location only). Their staff handles repair intake and processes payments for any warranty deductibles or non-warranty costs. Please note that personal Apple warranty repairs are NOT managed through your local Technical Support Provider.

A $99 diagnostic fee applies to all non-warranty repairs, which includes the first hour of labor. After the technician evaluates your computer, we will provide a quote for parts and any additional labor beyond the first hour. Payment must be made at The Tech Connect desk before we proceed with ordering parts.

IMPORTANT: Always turn off “Find my” before sending your Apple computer in for repair

*No iPhones, iPads, iPods, Apple Ear Pods, or other non-computer related devices can be repaired by Cornell's Computer Hardware Repair Team at this time.
