Get a Server in the Data Center

The CIT Data Center, located in the Rhodes Hall and CCC machine rooms, provides a secure environment for housing servers.  You can choose either colocated or managed servers.

  • Colocated Servers: The basic services listed below are included. Customers are responsible for all other aspects of owning, securing, and maintaining the machine, including high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) services.

  • Managed Servers: Most of the servers in the Server Farm are managed by the Systems Support group. Customers can establish Service Agreements with the Systems Support Group. More information is available at the Managed Servers page.

Standard Service for Colocated Servers in the Data Center includes:

  • Managed Systems: 24-hour system monitoring, basic level troubleshooting, system rebooting, and System Administrator notification as needed
  • Network connectivity
  • Environmental systems (cooling, humidity)
  • Uninterruptible power with generator backup (does not include research clusters)
