Manage Notifications in Microsoft Teams

Access Notification Settings
- In the top right of the Teams App, select the button next to your account icon, then from the dropdown menu select .
- From the Settings menu on the left side of the App, select
Manage Specific Notification Settings
Microsoft provides instructions for adjusting specific notification settings in Teams.
- Mute distracting notifications during Teams meetings. You'll still be able to allow activity-related alerts.
- Manage calendar notifications such as new invites, updates, cancellations, and when meetings have been forwarded.
- Manage general notifications to configure sounds, and when notifications display.
- Set frequency of missed activity emails, or turn the feature off.
- Customize chat and channel notifications such as @mentions, tags, replies, likes, and reactions.
- Manage meeting notifications such as meeting start announcements and chat notifications.
- Manage Apps notifications to display in your Activity, as a banner, or to be turned off.
- Configure channel notifications to include new posts, replies, mentions, and change whether they display as a banner or in the feed.
- Quiet time is a scheduled setting that silences Teams notifications on your mobile device(s) during certain times or days.
Hide, Favorite, and Show a Channel
Hide a Channel
This will hide them from your list of channels, as well as mute most notifications related to the channel. If you are part of a large team this can help you focus on the channels that pertain to you directly.
- Go to the channel name and select

Add chats and channels to your list of favorites to find them quickly.
- Go to the chat or channel name and select (the ... symbol)

Show a Channel
To reveal a channel that you have previously hidden:
- From the bottom of your list of chats and channels, select .
- Select the team you're looking for.
- Select next to the channel you'd like to show.
Troubleshoot Issues in Teams Mobile Apps
