E-list Attachment and Message Size Limits

E-list message size limits are subject to change.

E-list messages currently have a maximum size of three megabytes, including attachments.

Message delivery may be delayed during times of high traffic or performance load. If more than 90 minutes has passed since sending, and your message still hasn't been delivered, please submit a support request

File Sharing Alternatives

There are several free cloud storage services that you can use to distribute files. Cornell offers free Box accounts, and there are many other free services, like Google Drive and DropBox.

For Box, the process works like this:

  1. Put the file(s) in your cloud storage account.
  2. Click Share and change access to People with the link.
  3. Copy the Shared Link information.
  4. Paste the link into the email message you will be posting to the list.

The recipients do NOT need to have their own Box (or Drive, or DropBox) accounts in order to retrieve your file.

Visit our Cornell Box articles for more information regarding free accounts and how to use them.
