Cornell Secure File Transfer: External User Sees Error Message "Not active on Cornell Whitelist" When Logging In
This article applies to: Cornell Secure File Transfer
The email address the external user enters must match the address in the Cornell user's whitelist. (The address is, however, not case-sensitive.)
For example,
user@example.org
is not the same as user@mail.example.org
, though both might deliver mail to the same account.
Also, a whitelist entry expires after a default period of three months. If the external user has not used Cornell Secure File Transfer for a while, the user may need to have the Cornell sender renew the entry on their whitelist.
