In his November 2025 CEMI webinar, Chief Global Information Officer Curtis Cole outlined the university’s multi-phase transformation aimed at streamlining administrative processes and improving the customer experience.

Working as One

Many administrative processes and data collections will be harmonized for use in shared administrative systems spanning each campus of the university. The Cornell Experience Modernization Initiative (CEMI or "See Me") will unify these processes, data collections, and systems to enable each person who relies on Cornell's administrative tools to work as one.

Webinar highlights include the selection of Workday for HR, budget, and finance—with a planned go-live in summer 2028—and the formation of design teams supporting functional areas such as data and analytics, donor engagement, research administration, and student services. Cole emphasized that CEMI is more than a technology upgrade: it’s about reducing barriers, enabling collaboration, and making work easier for everyone.

Watch the recording and get involved as readiness and design teams and activities continue to develop and expand.
