Exciting changes are coming to the University Catalog this summer as part of the CourseLeaf project, an initiative to support academic operations, relieve administrative burden, and provide efficiencies and improvements for students. A major component of the project is the transition from Courses of Study to the new Catalog.

As changes are rolled out this coming fall, and into 2026, students from all colleges, schools, and units on Ithaca and Cornell Tech campuses will benefit from a more accessible, consistent, and user-friendly catalog. The new Catalog will have:

  • An updated look and feel
  • Streamlined navigation
  • Refined organization of content
  • A complete list of programs with advanced filtering options

Additionally, students will have the ability to generate PDFs of both specific Catalog pages and the entire Catalog. Current and prospective students will be able to find academic programs of interest more easily, and better plan for their collegiate future at Cornell.

Improvements in Class Roster will grant students earlier access to Fall course information, allowing them to review course descriptions for the upcoming academic year during the April/May enrollment period. The names of some search filters in Class Roster will also be updated to provide more clarity about what can be filtered, and where to find specific information.

The CourseLeaf project team is excited to support the shift of curriculum and lifecycle management functions to a more efficient, stable, and sustainable technological infrastructure.
