Help fight phishing and scams. Cybercriminals have increased their efforts both during the holidays and around the ongoing pandemic. Protect yourself with phishing awareness resources like Cornell's Phish Bowl and Verified Cornell Communications.
Bad actors often impersonate trusted individuals to gain access to your sensitive information, demanding gift cards, and other schemes. If you or someone you know receives a suspicious or unusual email from a supposedly trusted source, try contacting the sender offline to verify the information directly. Remember to check email headers, since scammers often send messages with forged (or spoofed) headers. On mobile devices, email headers are sometimes hidden by default.
