Beginning June 3, 2026, all newly created Qualtrics surveys will automatically default to the New Survey Taking Experience. The new experience is faster, more mobile-responsive, and highly accessible (WCAG 2.2 AA compliant). Going forward, any new features, such as new question types or security options, will only be supported in the new experience.

Existing live surveys will not be affected or visually altered. Copying an old survey or importing a QSF file will preserve the original layout and theme settings, meaning a copy of a legacy survey will remain in the legacy experience.

A new survey can be converted to the legacy experience by going to Survey Options, General tab and clicking the toggle to turn off the new survey taking experience. Qualtrics has not announced a date for the retirement of the legacy experience.
