Curious about cloud computing? Looking to build skills in AWS (Amazon Web Services), explore this as a career direction, or get more out of the AWS tools you already use?
The IT Workforce Readiness implementation team is partnering with AWS Training and Certification to launch a cloud skills development program with 150 free, one-year AWS Skill Builder licenses. This is the first of many opportunities for IT at Cornell colleagues to learn, grow, and share their expertise.
If you’d like to be considered for an AWS Skill Builder license, please complete the AWS Learning Needs Analysis by October 30. This brief assessment (5-10 minutes) is a prerequisite for the license and will help identify which learning path is recommended for your goals.
Already working with AWS? The assessment will take your current knowledge and goals and recommend a training path to deepen your skills.
- New to AWS? If you have little or no AWS experience, the assessment will recommend where to start, giving you the foundation to build your skills.
AWS Skill Builder offers self-paced learning for a range of interests and experience levels, including:
- AWS Cloud Essentials: Learn about foundational cloud concepts, services, pricing, and security
- Solutions Architect: Design solutions using AWS services
- AWS Artificial Intelligence Practitioner: Build a foundation in AWS AI tools and machine learning concepts
If more than 150 people request a license, a small team will decide how to allocate the licenses. You’ll be notified by November 19.
