On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Quest ARS will be updated from the current 7.3 version to a new 8.2 version.

Starting at 4pm on Monday, July 28, version 7.3 will be unavailable until the update is complete.

This update includes several enhancements to security and reliability, including support for multi-factor authentication for the web interface.

If you use the desktop client, you will need to install the ARS Console Version 8.2 on Tuesday, July 29, to use the new instance.

The new version will not work with previous versions of ARS Console. Once the production instance of ARS has been migrated, you will be required to uninstall any previous versions and use the client 8.2 version.

Duo multi-factor authentication is required to connect to the Quest ARS web interface. Duo is not required for console or programmatic/API access at this point and is planned for a future release.

Please submit a ticket to Identity Management if you have any questions or concerns.
