What is it? A closed, members-only e-list. Subscribers also get access to the Security SIG Confluence space.

Who can join? Regular Cornell staff in IT roles who have an interest in campus security.

How to join? Send a request to security-services@cornell.edu. Include your department and your role.

IT Security SIG (Special Interest Group)

What is it? A monthly discussion of topics relevant to IT Security at Cornell.

Who can join? Subscribers to the IT-Security-L list.

How to join? Meeting dates and topics are sent to the e-List.

The IT Security Council

The IT Security Council works in collaboration with the IT Security Office to promote good campus security practices. The council is also responsible for the development and maintenance of Cornell's IT Security Requirements. These requirements are mandated in Policy 5.10, Information Security:

The IT Security Council will review and, as needed, revise the requirements on an annual basis. Please send any comments or questions to security-services@cornell.edu

The Security Council is comprised of liaisons from each of the major campus units, as specified in Policy 5.4.1, Security of Information Technology Resources.
