What Should I Do if Spirion Finds Confidential Data on My Computer?

This article applies to: Spirion (formerly Identity Finder)

After a scan, review the list of potential risks. If the program has identified a file that contains work-related confidential data but which you no longer need for your work, you can “shred” the file to securely delete it. If you wish to keep the file that contains confidential information, you can either “scrub” the file (which masks the parts that are confidential) or simply keep it for the time being.
