Vendor Selection for IWMS

An Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) to replace the facilities and real estate inventory systems started by evaluated RFP responses, and selecting finalists. The IWMS advisory committee then created demo scenarios and scripts based on user feedback.
Of the four vendors asked to submit proposals, FM:Systems was the only vendor still under active consideration given the inability of the other three vendors to meet functional expectations within our tolerances for customization and cost. Survey feedback from functional areas regarding FM:Systems was positive, but in the interests of due diligence and with caution in the absence of a direct competitor, the IWMS team decided to explore FM:Systems capabilities more deeply.
At the end of November FM:Systems came to campus to host an advanced demo with specific scenarios in order to better understand the capabilities of the vendor. The demos proved to be positive, and after meeting with the Executive Sponsorship team we have decided to move forward with FM:Systems.
