IWMS Vendor Selection

An Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) to replace the Real Property Information Management System and Facilities Inventory System began by evaluating RFP responses and selecting finalists. The IWMS advisory committee then created demo scenarios and scripts based on user feedback.
Of the four finalists asked to submit proposals, FM:Systems was the only one still under active consideration given the inability of the other three vendors to meet functional expectations within the project's tolerances for customization and cost. Survey feedback from functional areas regarding FM:Systems was positive, but in the interest of due diligence, and with caution in the absence of a direct competitor, the IWMS team decided to explore FM:Systems capabilities more deeply.
In November 2017, FM:Systems hosted advanced demos on campus featuring specific scenarios and vendor capabilities. The demos were positive overall. After meeting with the Executive Sponsorship team, it was decided to move forward with FM:Systems.
