Skype Problem: Cannot Remove a Contact

Error:

"Cannot add, remove, or move contacts or groups at this time. Please try again later."

How to Solve this Problem

  1. Exit the Skype client.
  2. Use your browser to navigate to Outlook on the Web at outlook.cornell.com.
  3. Log in with your NetID@cornell.edu address and associated password.
  4. In the red Office 365 toolbar, click the App Launcher icon (nine dots at the left end of the toolbar), then click People.
  5. On the left, under Your contacts, click Skype for Business Contacts.
    If you do not see Skype for Business Contacts, click Your contacts. You should now see Contacts, Skype for Business Contacts, and Other contacts.
  6. Right-click (Mac: or ctrl-click) the contact you wish to remove, then click Remove from Skype for Business contacts.
  7. Re-start the Skype client.
