Stop Receiving Group Notifications (Remedy Classic View)

If you are a member of a support group that has "group notification" enabled, but you do not want to receive these notifications, you can turn them off for yourself.

This procedure only affects what you receive; it does not change behavior for other group members.

  1. Go to the Incident Console page by clicking the Applications tab, then Incident Management, then Incident Management Console.
  2. In the navigation on the left, under Functions, click My Profile. The People form will open in a new browser tab.
  3. Click the Notifications tab.
  4. Click Update Notification Preferences. The Notification Preferences window will open.
  5. Click Create.
  6. For Module Name, select Incident.
  7. For Notification Event, select Assignment.
  8. Select the appropriate Support Company, Support Organization, and Support Group Name.
  9. For Pager Notification, select No.
  10. For Use Business Hours, select No.
  11. For Use Business Holidays, select No.
  12. For Individual Notifications, select Yes.
  13. For Group Notifications, select No.
  14. For Notification Method, select Email.
  15. Click Add.
  16. If you want to turn off your notifications for additional support groups, repeat steps 5-15.
  17. Click Close when finished.
