The experienced project management professionals in the Project Management Office (PMO) serve as the front door for IT Statements of Need and IT Project Charters as defined by the IT Governance Framework. Typical projects include:

  • Cornell's IT capital projects
  • Projects involving the university's systems of record or systems of engagement
  • Projects involving multiple campus units
  • Projects involving business process changes
  • Projects approved for funding via the IT Project Charter process

The office can also, in some circumstances, provide project management services to Cornell colleges, departments, and administrative units on a for-fee basis.
