Use Contacts (Outlook on the Web)

Outlook on the Web remember the addresses you've most recently sent mail to, and offer a "Suggested Contacts" list when you're composing a message.

Microsoft frequently updates the design of Outlook on the Web, so your version may not match exactly the description given here.

In the red, Cornell-branded Office 365 nav bar, click the app launcher icon (the nine dots at the left end of the bar), then click People.

Here you can to view, search, or edit

  • your Contact list (the same one you access through Outlook)
  • the Global Address List (GAL), which is Cornell's centrally maintained list of people. (You cannot edit the GAL.)

Outlook on the Web allows you to import a list of contacts from other email applications.

  1. In the red, Cornell-branded Office 365 nav bar, click the gear icon, then, under Your app settings, select People.
  2. Click Import contacts.

Outlook on the Web will walk you through the steps to export contacts from many email clients, then import them into Outlook on the Web.

To return to your Inbox, in the red, Cornell-branded Office 365 nav bar, click the app launcher icon (the nine dots at the left end of the bar), then click Mail.
