View Shared Calendars (Outlook on the Web)

Use Outlook on the Web to view a calendar or a Resource account that has been shared with you. This applies to both NetID accounts and Resource accounts.

This article applies to: Outlook on the Web, Resource Accounts

Microsoft frequently updates the design of Outlook on the Web, so your version may not match exactly the description given here.

This procedure only works after the other person has followed the steps in our Share Your Calendar article.)

  1. Log in to Outlook on the Web (http://outlook.cornell.edu).
  2. In the red, Cornell-branded Office 365 nav bar, click the app launcher icon (the nine dots at the left end of the red bar), then click Calendar.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, right-click (Mac: or ctrl-click) Other calendars and select Open calendar. A small Open calendar dialog box will open.
  4. In the From directory field, enter the beginning of the person's name or NetID. Outlook will look for and display matches as you type. Select the desired entry, then click Open. The person's calendar will be added to the Other calendars section of the navigation pane, and their calendar events will be added to your current view.

You can remove their calendar items from your active view by clicking the X next to their name near the top of the page, or clicking to remove the check next to their name in the navigation pane on the left.

To view the same person's calendar again, click to put a check next their name in the navigation pane on the left.

To remove a calendar from the list under Other calendars, right-click (Mac: or ctrl-click) the calendar name, then select Remove.

People who have had active Office 365 accounts at Cornell for a while may also see a People's calendars section in the left nav pane. This section is functionally identical to the Other calendars section described above; you may use either or both.
