FERPA

The Family Educational Rights Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. It is the policy of Cornell University to comply with FERPA as outlined in Policy 4.5)

Definition of an Education Record

An education record is information related to a student and maintained by an educational agency or institution or a party acting for or on behalf of the agency or institution. Please review the information at Information Protected by FERPA for a comprehensive explanation.

FERPA and Technology
