Two-Step Login Requirement in Workday April 20, 2017

In order to better protect the Cornell community’s personal information, the university is taking two steps:
(1) Between now and April 20, Cornell employees needing to change the direct deposit setting for their paychecks will need to submit a paper form, available on the DFA website.
(2) Starting April 20, 2017, Cornell will require Two-Step Login to access the following parts of Workday:
- Tax forms
- Payment elections (direct deposit)
- Address changes
- Changes to dependents
- I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification form)
Individuals who want to sign up immediately can find out how at Two-Step Login.
After signing up, they will be prompted for Two-Step Login ONLY when the service being used requires it. Two-Step Login confirmation only takes a keypress on a phone call, a tap on an app, or typing a unique number into the login screen.
For even more security, it’s suggested to expand Two-Step login to cover more university services.
Anyone needing assistance can ask the IT or computer support staff in their college, unit, or department. Or call, email, or chat online with the IT Service Desk.
For in-person assistance, visit the IT Service Desk at 121 Computing and Communications Center (on the Ag Quad), Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Training and walk-in clinics are also available.
