Transition to the Microsoft Zoom Add-in for Outlook—Before Support for Zoom’s Plug-in for Outlook Ends

Microsoft and Apple have announced that, starting sometime in May 2021, support for the legacy Zoom Plug-in for Outlook will end. Zoom users at Cornell who schedule and manage sessions using the desktop Outlook Calendar application will want to make the move to using Microsoft's Zoom Add-in for Outlook before then.

The good news is that all Cornell Office 365 users should already have the newer Microsoft Zoom Add-in available in Outlook.

While you may also still have the legacy Zoom Plug-in installed as well, you are strongly encouraged to take this opportunity to transition to the new add-in, which provides better Office compatibility and security, before the legacy plug-in is deactivated by Microsoft.

For details about how to identify the new Microsoft Zoom Add-in, how to tell if you still have the legacy Zoom Plug-in for Outlook installed, and how to remove the legacy plug-in, visit Switch from Zoom's Plug-in for Outlook to Microsoft's Outlook Zoom Add-in.
