AppSMTP, a service used to deliver automated email to users from multi-function printers and scanners, applications, and monitoring devices, has been updated.
This change is designed to improve data security and reduce the risk of email fraud.
What You Need to Do
Take the time now to review the AppSMTP documentation, which outlines the requirements of the updated service and how to register.
Administrators should have already received several communications from the Email and Messaging Team detailing their processes that need to be registered. Review the list and register each process as described in the AppSMTP documentation.
If you believe you have an email process that might be affected, but have not received an email notice, contact the Email and Messaging team as soon as possible.
