Registration open for Cornell DrupalCamp + more October 6-7, 2016

Registration is now open for Cornell DrupalCamp 2016, to be held Friday October 7. An optional half-day Code Sprint or half-day Drupal Basics, will be held October 6.

Drupal is a free open-source Content Management System (CMS) written in the PHP programming language. DrupalCamps are community sharing and training events for Drupal programmers, developers, project managers, and web content managers, with tracks for beginner, intermediate, and advanced users. Cornell DrupalCamp has been held on the Ithaca, NY campus since 2013 and is open to the public. The daylong camp costs $35 and includes breakfast and lunch. Session topics and tracks will be posted in September.

Registration is open to the first 225 participants, including presenters who plan to attend the camp, so please do not wait until the last minute to register!


Cornell DrupalCamp costs $35 and includes:

  • Admission to all camp sessions
  • Breakfast, Lunch, snacks, and post-camp networking
  • Camp badge and ticket for door prizes

New this year: Drupal Basics October 6

On Thursday October 6,  we will offer “Drupal Basics,” a half-day training by our keynote speaker Vanessa Turke. Drupal Basics is a site planning class, focusing on developing the content structure, user roles and permissions that are part of a strong foundation for a Drupal site. Participants can expect to come away with instructions and tools to create a solid project plan and set of technical requirements.

This training is best for beginners in any track (developing, theming, content management, or project management), and project and content managers at all levels.

  • The fee for this training is $35 and includes light refreshments.
  • To sign up for the training, please check the box on the registration form next to “Drupal Basics.”
  • Space is limited to 60 people.

Half Day Code Sprint Returns

Also on Thursday, October 6, we are once again offering a half day Code Sprint from 12:30-5:00pm. There is an additional $15 charge to join the Code Sprint. We’re also looking for facilitators or volunteers to help with the Code Sprint day. Please indicate if you’d like to help out by letting us know on the registration form.

New this year: After camp socializing October 7

Feel free to join us at Bar Argos for DrupalCamp Happy Hour on October 7 at 5:00pm. Please note that the cost of drinks is your own responsibility, and that Bar Argos does not serve food. Bar Argos is located at 408 East State Street, Ithaca, in the beautiful Argos Inn.

All events on October 6 and 7 are open to Cornell, surrounding colleges, and the public!
