Provide Live Transcripts for Zoom Meetings and Webinars

Related services: Zoom

For some customers, Zoom has begun implementing live, real-time automatic speech recognition (ASR) transcripts. This feature is available to Cornell users who host meetings and webinars. By default, the option is not enabled, but hosts who would want to use the feature can enable it through their Zoom account settings.

Once enabled, the feature provides in-session ASR transcripts of all spoken content based on the session audio. The transcripts appear during the meeting or webinar and participants can control whether they appear as subtitle at the bottom of the video or within a side panel of the Zoom application.

For details on enabling the service and starting the transcripts during sessions, visit Zoom Live Transcription Service on the IT@Cornell website.
