PMI Meeting Nov. 13: Building Successful Teams That Last

The November 13 meeting of Ithaca's Project Management Institute (PMI) features Seth Brahler, senior director for Cornell's Human Resources Information Systems, speaking on transforming a team through leadership and culture change.

Description: Learn how Cornell's HRIS team was transformed by a leadership and culture change that focuses on feedback, training, recognition, and aligning talents and interests with strategic deliverables. Following, a group discussion about project manager’s experiences with building teams.

Leading teams for over 16 years, as the senior director for HRIS, Seth is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and optimization of Cornell's HR/Payroll system (Workday) and learning management system (CULearn / Saba). He provides leadership for the activities and careers of 20+ staff, and creates multi-year discovery/implementation plans for new functionality, setting priorities, resource planning, and working with executive committees.
