PeopleSoft Hosting Migration Update: Begin Preparation for User Acceptance Testing Now

Related services: PeopleSoft

The PeopleSoft Hosting Migration Project, which will transition Cornell’s implementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions from its current external host to Cornell’s Amazon Web Services, is well underway.

The cutover to the migrated production system is scheduled to take place over the weekend of March 3–6, 2022.

User Acceptance Testing

The test instance of PeopleSoft in the new AWS environment will provide an opportunity for integrations to be thoroughly tested well in advance of the cutover date.

The testing window is January 3–February 14, 2022.

Affected integrations should plan now to begin testing early in this timeframe so that issues will be quickly identified and sufficient time is allowed for re-testing.

To prepare for testing:

  • Identify active integrations and dependencies your group is responsible for that need to be tested;
  • Plan now to have testers available to test against the new AWS test environment during the January window;
  • During January, conduct tests with all third-party vendors as soon as possible (this may depend on connections to non-prod environments);
  • Make sure proper security authorization is in place for non-prod testing environments.
