PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Migrating to Amazon Web Services in March 2022

Related services: Cloudification , PeopleSoft

Cornell’s implementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will be migrating from the current external provider’s private cloud to Cornell’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. The cutover to the migrated production system is scheduled for March 3–6, 2022.

The PeopleSoft Migration Project team is working now to reach out well in advance to all affected units, administrators, partners, and vendors to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Much of the university’s essential business depends on PeopleSoft systems and data. This migration will require that server addresses, connection strings, and database names change.

Schedule for Testing

While the cutover date is months away, it is essential that all who work with Cornell’s PeopleSoft system -- campus units that depend on PeopleSoft data, internal partners, and external vendors -- begin planning for the change now. Time will be required to evaluate your processes and integrations for references to PeopleSoft and to set up a robust plan to test all required updates.

A test instance of PeopleSoft in the new AWS environment will be set up to allow for testing. This timeline will take place following the university Winter Break, from January 3–February 1, 2022.
