Jira Project Update

Collaboration and Utility Services has been leading the project to move our current version of Jira to an Atlassian-certified vendor to be cloud-hosted. The company we are working with is Contegix. This project includes upgrading to the latest version of Jira.

They are currently working with a pilot group of test users in performing the necessary migrations and testing to ensure our production Contegix-hosted Jira instance has the best possible outcome for our users. The pilot group is close to wrapping up the first round of testing, and the Jira Project Team has configured and successfully tested the use of Single Sign-On using Shibboleth on Jira version 7.0.x in the Contegix cloud. The next round of user testing will begin shortly and continue into next month.

The Jira Project Team will continue to communicate updates throughout the project. This project, once completed, will allow our Jira instance to be the most secure and up-to-date version, which will better meet the needs of the University.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Jira Project Team via email at jira-confluence@cornell.edu.
