Google has added the option for offline mail directly into the web version of Gmail when using the Chrome browser. This means individuals who choose to turn the option on can search, write, delete, and archive up to 90 days of messages, even when they don’t have an Internet connection.

CIT will be making this available in Cornell G Suite (formerly Cmail) on November 11, 2018. At this time, anyone wishing to use Gmail offline should follow Google's instructions.

Note: Google recommends that individuals who have been using Google Offline Chrome App for offline mail should uninstall it using instructions linked above.
