Functional Review Update
During the summer of 2022 a collaboration began among Information Technology professionals to answer a question posed by senior leadership: What does end user support of technology at Cornell University look like? The four task forces met throughout the fall of 2022 to evaluate the areas identified as high priority: Hardware Assets & Lifecycle Management, Standard Imaging & Provisioning, Metrics & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Software Asset & Lifecycle Management.
Their research resulted in a list of opportunities which, if addressed, have the potential to strengthen Cornell’s IT environment as a unified university, as well as improve the IT experience for individual colleges and units. The committee members are now prioritizing their findings within the context of current and future resource availability.
