Final Notice: Microsoft Outlook’s Clutter to be Retired Sunday, October 10, 2021

On Sunday, October 10, 2021, Outlook’s Clutter will be disabled in any Cornell email accounts where it may still be active. To learn about the current method for sorting messages in Outlook, visit the IT@Cornell webpage for Focused Inbox.
Clutter was an Outlook feature designed to help users sort and organize their messages. Microsoft began phasing out the feature several years ago and it has since been replaced by Focused Inbox. It has not been possible to activate Clutter since the phase-out began in 2017.
What to Expect
After Clutter has been retired, no additional email will be sorted to the Clutter folder. Any messages that remain in your Clutter folder can be moved to your Inbox or other Outlook folders. If you choose to delete the inactive Clutter folder, be aware that any messages that remain in it will also be deleted.
