Emergency Mass Notification Test Scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, at 12:10pm

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at 12:10pm, a test of the university Emergency Mass Notification system will be conducted by the Cornell University Police Department and Environmental Health and Safety’s Emergency Services.

Users of university-managed computers who have the Alertus Desktop Emergency Notification client installed can expect to receive a notification on their screens during the test. This alert screen can easily be dismissed by clicking the Dismiss button. Cornell community members who have enrolled for alerts on their phones or mobile devices will also receive voice and text versions of the test on registered devices.

In addition, CUView digital sign administrators can expect the alert to display on their signs. The alert screen should revert to the sign’s regular content after a short time.
