Cybersecurity Awareness Month begins next week: Stop. Think. Connect.

Related services: Security & Policy

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), and we'll be posting information throughout the month from Homeland Security and other online security experts. This year, Cornell is a NCSAM Champion, and it’s a good opportunity to think about how much we depend upon the Internet and how we can be safer online.

Simple steps like enabling stronger authentication on sensitive online accounts, being thoughtful about what emails we open and links we click, and setting strong passwords, we all can create a safer and more secure Internet.

We'll be featuring the Stop.Think.Connect. campaign, dedicated to increasing the understanding of cyber threats and empowering the public to be safer and more secure online. We'll also be revisiting some of our "greatest hits" from previous years. Stay tuned!
