Cornell University was recognized as the overall 2018 Cloud Leadership winner at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in October. Highlighted was Cornell's annual Cloud Forum, led by Sarah Christen, CIT Director of Infrastructure. The Cloud Forum provides an opportunity for higher education technology leaders to discuss organizational strategies, challenges, and transitions regarding cloud technologies.

The award was announced by E&I Cooperative Services (E&I). Awards recognize the achievements of higher education institutions that have made innovative use of cloud technology across several categories, including cloud storage, security, and backup/disaster recovery.

“Cloud technology is imperative in allowing educational institutions to do more for their staff, students, teachers, and administrators,” said Tom Fitzgerald, CEO of E&I. “It is an honor to recognize our members who have made innovative use of this technology, showcasing what they have accomplished and the positive impacts, increased efficiencies, and cost-savings behind cloud solutions.”
