CISER to Offer Training Workshops

CISER is offering three free training workshops this summer.

Introduction to SPSS
2-day course, July 27 and July 28, 12:30-2:00pm both days
Topics and exercises include creating an SPSS data file, exporting an SPSS data file to another format, running simple statistical procedures using the output viewer, creating a syntax file, and importing an Excel data file to SPSS.

Introduction to Stata
August 11, 1:30-4:00pm
Overview of the capabilities of Stata. Topics and exercises include entering, accessing, modifying and organizing data.

Introduction to Atlas.Ti
August 22, 10:00-11:30am
Learn how to create a hermeneutic unit (project) in Atlas-ti. You will learn how to assign documents, quote and code segments of text, write comments and memos, create and assign relations between codes or quotes, and view the relationships using the Network view. You will also learn how to create families of primary documents and codes, produce output, search for text, auto code, copy bundle, as well as export to an SPSS job. You may bring your own qualitative data for processing during the workshop.
