Certified Desktop: Making Cornell Computers Safe

Related services: Certified Desktop

How can Cornell help you protect faculty and staff computers in the face of mounting online threats? With Certified Desktop, CIT is partnering with units to help make end user files safer

Certified Desktop is an agreement between units and CIT to work toward a goal of having 75% of personal productivity devices (desktop and laptops used by individuals) meet university Policy 5.10 requirements.

Units reaching that goal will receive a substantial discount on Certified Desktop’s suite of data security software. This includes state-of-the-art backup and restore, advanced malware prevention, endpoint device management, and other applications to make their documents, data, and research safer – all without noticeably impacting their computers’ performance.
