Announcing the Cornell Corporate and Foundation Relations Customer Relationship Management Initiative

The Corporate and Foundation Relations CRM Initiative (CFR-CRM) kicked off in January 2020. The project is a partnership between the Office of the Provost, the colleges and schools, Cornell Research, and Alumni Affairs and Development, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Information Technologies and CIO.

The goal of the CFR-CRM initiative is to create a system of shared data and a common set of tools to enable Cornell staff and faculty to manage relationships with external business entities as they pursue gifts, grants, and sponsored research.

Cornell Information Technologies will lead a three- to four-month discovery effort, followed by development, and work closely with our campus partners to align business processes among colleges and units. The tools will be built using the university’s central instance of Salesforce, a customer relationship management platform that is currently being used to support student engagement.

To stay informed on this initiative, join the Salesforce Success Hub news group, News! Corporate Relations Initiative. A community forum on the project is planned for April 2020. For more information, visit the Salesforce and Corporate and Foundation Relations CRM Initiative pages.
