On Friday, June 16, 2017 changes will be made to Identity Management systems. Changes will affect only EGAs, but processing of changes to email routing will be delayed. 

Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) celebrated many members of staff who have been Cornell employees for five or more years. Several staff members were recognized for more than forty years of service.

The Alliance for Diversity and Inclusion has announced that eighteen students will begin working in June within the Division of Financial Affairs, Cornell Information Technologies, Student and Campus Life, and the offices of Planning and Budget, and University Audit.

On Tuesday, May 30, 2017 the new Box user interface will be turned on for all Box users. Since the beginning of February Box users have seen a message when they enter Box presenting them with the option to enable the new Box experience.

Another diversity training cycle concluded in mid-April, and the Alliance for Diversity and Inclusion (ADI) thanks everyone who participated in this year’s training events!

Box users already using the new Box interface now have the option of activating the new Excel Online Previewer. The Excel Online Previewer is more powerful than the standard preview experience.

In order to better serve Cornell, CIT’s Cloudification team, along with the Center for Advanced Computing, is conducting a survey to understand the needs, interests, and challenges of our campus partners, as more and more departments move applications to the Cloud.

Faculty and Staff will now be able to increase or decrease their file share sizes in 500GB increments instead of 1,000GB.  This change will allow more gradual growth and more flexible cost savings.
