Net-Print Problem: Printer Says "Open Rear Door"
This article applies to: Net-Print
A Windows 10 user sends a one-sided print job to a Find-Me queue, then releases the job to an HP LaserJet M602 (or M604, and possibly other printers). The first page of the print job prints correctly to the main output tray, but for all subsequent pages, the printer displays the message, "Open rear door." When the rear door is opened, the pages are printed there.
How To Solve This Issue
- In the Windows Control Panel, click View devices and printers.
- Right-click on the Find-Me queue (campus-bw or campus-color), then select Printer Properties.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Click Printing Defaults.
- Click Advanced.
- For Output Order (where it probably says Face Up), select Face Down.
- Click OK in each dialog box to close it.
