E-lists are the preferred email solution for conversations (two-way or multiple-way communication), but there are several good options if your need is for an announcements channel.

• Create and use one or more e-lists: a good choice if you'll email these same individuals many times, even if they're not all at Cornell.
• Request and use a CornellAD mail-enabled group: a good choice if these individuals are all at Cornell and you'll email these same individuals many times (a mail-enabled CornellAD group is only counted as one recipient).
• Use bulkmail: a good choice if this is the only time you'll email this particular group of individuals.
• Third-party senders: Some Cornell offices, departments, and organizations use third-party senders (for example, Constant Contact, MailChimp, SalesForce, etc.) to distribute official mailings. Be aware, though, that sometimes these mailings run afoul of spam filters at Google, Microsoft, and other email providers. Please read our article about using third-party senders to avoid these issues.
