Office 365 Email/Calendar on Android, Win Mobile, and Other Smart Devices

This article applies to: Email @ Cornell , Microsoft Outlook

Effective May 23, 2022, Microsoft has announced that the Outlook for Android mobile app will no longer be supported on Android version 7.1 or earlier. If you have Outlook for Android installed on your mobile device, make sure your device is running Android version 8 or higher. If not, upgrade Android or consider replacing your mobile device with one compatible with a current version of Android. For details, visit Outlook for Android to Require Android 8.0 or Greater Beginning May 23, 2022.

It is recommended that you use Microsoft's Outlook for Android app or Win Mobile rather than the device's native app. See Microsoft's Outlook App for Android Mobile support page or Microsoft's Win Mobile App support page for download and setup instructions. In addition to the steps listed there, you will also see Cornell's NetID login screen.

If you follow this recommendation, you do NOT need the rest of the information presented here.

If you choose to ignore our recommendation and use your device's native mail app, follow the steps below to configure your device for the Cornell environment.

We strongly recommend that, when it comes to your calendar, you only use your mobile device for viewing, not accepting or declining meetings. Use Outlook on your computer or Outlook on the web to accept or decline meetings.
