Validator Guide (Entry-Exit)

The Entry-Exit project is on hold. Production use of Entry-Exit has been paused until further notice.


  • play an oversight/audit role.
  • are specified by an event’s Initiator.
  • verify that all the tasks assigned in a given event have been marked as completed.
  • have visibility into the progress of an assigned event.

Validator tasks are found on the Events tab. You will see all tasks that include you as an validator. In addition,

  • Unit Administrators will see all events in their unit.
  • Section Admins will see Events that use Task Templates from their section.
  • Supervisors will see any active event where they were specified as the Supervisor.
  • Initiators will see all events they initiated.

Click Show Details to see more information on the event. You can add to the Task Notes here.

With Show Details clicked, click Show Tasks to see the complete list of tasks for the event, along with the status and due date.

Within a Task, click Show Details for the full Task text, which assignees have accepted or declined, and any added comments.

Assignees, Initiators, Supervisors, and Validators have the ability add and read Task comments during an active event. Be careful not to include sensitive information or confidential data. See the Definitions section of this Information Security article.

With Show Details clicked, when you are satisfied that all tasks have been completed, click Validation. You'll see a screen for Validation Comments. If there are tasks left uncompleted, but you have determined that they are not necessary, you are required to include Validation Comments explaining the circumstances.
