Uninstall Software (Endpoint Management Tools - Mac)

  1. Launch Casper Admin (from the Casper Suite folder) and log in with your NetID and password.
  2. In the left column, under Repository, click All Items.
  3. Under View Type, click Packages.
  4. From the list of packages displayed in the lower part of the window, highlight the package you want to uninstall with Casper.
  5. Click Index near the bottom of the window. Depending on the size of the package, this may take some time.
  6. When the package has been indexed, double-click the package name.
  7. Click Options.
  8. Under Package Limitations, put a check next to Allow this package to be uninstalled.
  9. Click OK.
  10. From Casper's File menu, click Save.
  11. Log into your JSS site at https://jssmgt.it.cornell.edu/<JSSInstance>
    replacing <JSSInstance> with your instance's name.
    For example, https://jssmgt.it.cornell.edu/limnology
  12. Click Computers.
  13. In the left nav, click Policies.
  14. Click the blue plus sign icon.
  15. Enter a Display Name for this policy.
  16. Select Site. (You may not see Site. That's okay, just continue with the next step.)
  17. Select a Category.
  18. Select one or more Triggers.
  19. Select an Execution Frequency.
  20. From the list under Options (to the right of the left nav), click Packages.
  21. In the Package panel, click Configure.
  22. Next to the package you want to uninstall, click Add.
  23. Under Action, select Uninstall from the dropdown menu.
  24. Click the Scope tab.
  25. Add the computers or groups where you want this policy to run.
  26. Click Save.
