Deploy Software (Endpoint Management Tools - Mac)

Once a software package is built, configured, uploaded and assigned a category (as described in our Package Software for Deployment guide), you may use a policy to install the package. The client computer downloads and runs the install in the background next time they check in.

  1. Log into your JSS site at<JSSInstance>
    replacing <JSSInstance> with your instance's name.
    For example,
  2. Click Computers.
  3. Click Policies.
  4. Click the blue plus sign icon.
  5. Select your Site.
  6. Pick a Category.
  7. Pick a Trigger.
  8. Indicate the Execution Frequency.
  9. Select the Packages or other sidebar item to add to the payload.
  10. Click the Scope tab.
  11. Add target computers.
  12. Click Save when finished.
