Print from Off Campus (CU Print)

This article applies to: CU Print

To print while NOT on the Cornell wired or wireless network, you must connect to the network using Cornell's Virtual Private Network (CU VPN), a service that authenticates your identity and affiliation with Cornell using your NetID and password, and then sends all your Cornell-related traffic through an encrypted "tunnel" to campus. Non-Cornell traffic follows your normal network path and does not enter the Cornell network.

Once you've sent your document to one of the CU Print queues, you have two hours to get to a printer and release your document to be printed by hovering your Cornell ID card over the printer's card reader. Documents not released to print within two hours of being queued are deleted.

You will also need to connect through CU VPN in order to install CU Print or to check your printing history or account status from off campus.
