Cornell's course management system

Blackboard is a web-based course management system that makes it easy for instructors to manage materials distribution, assignments, communications, and other aspects of instruction for their courses. This service is available at no cost and is supported for use by all faculty and instructors at Cornell University and extension units.

For more information about Blackboard, visit the Blackboard site at the Center for Teaching Innovation, where you can learn how to add and manage content, get support and how-to videos, as well as communication and collaboration tools within Blackboard.

After an extensive review of our academic learning management decision Cornell has decided to make the transition to Canvas. This transition will start in the Spring of 2019 and be completed in the Spring of 2020. For more information visit our Blackboard to Canvas Migration website.
